We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for innovation and sustainability, who wants a key role in shaping the future, development, and daily operations of the bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark.

The Øresund Consortium is a Swedish-Danish company owned by the Swedish and Danish states that operates the Øresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden. With 150 dedicated employees, their vision is to create a simple, safe, fast, and environmentally friendly traffic across the Øresund strait. The organization is characterized by collaboration, innovation, and a clear sustainability agenda.

As the head of the construction unit, you will lead the work with operation, maintenance, and reinvestments for the Øresund Bridge. The role includes responsibility for a unique infrastructure consisting of 16 km of road and railway, 4 km of tunnel, an artificial island, and an 8 km long bridge between Sweden and Denmark. You will be responsible for both long-term strategic development and daily operations, with a focus on achieving successful results and driving the organization forward.

Your mission includes:

Leading an organization with departments such as Maintenance, Technology, Projects, as well as Safety and Environment, where the Projects department manages about 50 projects annually.
Being responsible for an annual budget and for new and reinvestment projects.
Driving the development towards the Øresund Bridge's goals: 100% accident-free, 100% available, 100% CO2-free, and +100 years longer lifespan.
Developing and implementing innovative solutions through digitalization, AI, and sustainable technology.
Working closely with contractors and suppliers with a focus on good business development and contract management.

This is a direct recruitment, which means that we at StudentConsulting handle the entire recruitment process, and the right candidate will be directly employed by the Øresund Bridge. The position is full-time and intended to start as soon as we find the right person. You will work from both the Danish and Swedish offices of the Øresund Bridge in Ørestad and Lernacken.
